This is a stunning and massive buffet 2 corps made at the beginning of the 19th century and originally coming from Avignon (Avignon was during the middle ages the city of the Popes.). This rare and elegantly simple piece is divided into 3 sections. The first upper one is mounted with a flat molded cornice sitting upon 3 doors, which reveals a large storage compartment, while the central section is centering a niche flanked by a total of 6 drawers mounted with the original hammered brass handles upon the bottom cabinet below featuring a pull out kneeler covered by the original needlepoint which must be replaced at some point and offering additional storage thanks to a large storage compartment. Please note that the statue is not included. This piece is in overall good condition, few minor scratches can be seen here and there due to the age but nothing obvious. This piece is for sale as is. Circa date 1800. Dimensions 92”high/ 76”wide/ 24’deep.
