This is a tall and massive Bonnetiere made from solid chestnut by the beginning of the 18th century by the end of the reign of Louis XIV, originally coming from region du Perigord in the southwest of France, consisting of an impressive flat molded cornice sitting upon the massive façade featuring a single recessed triple paneled door revealing an efficient storage compartment with a couple of shelves ( Note that the shelves are not original and were replaced at some point, 2 additional shelves can be built at no extra charge if requested), standing upon a boldly built pediment offering additional storage with a large bottom drawer. Note the thick ball feet that provide stability and sturdiness. Hardware is in original condition. This piece is in overall good condition, it does have scratches and dents here and there due to the age. A slight refinishing is necessary (Included in the price). Circa date 1710. Dimensions 93”high/ 52”wide/ 29”deep.
