This is a very attractive desk boasting an impressive burl mahogany veneer and made by the middle part of the 20th century. The French commonly calls such desk “Bureau de Milieu” due to the fact that it can be placed in the center of the room. The serpentine shaped top is sitting upon a nicely scrolled belt featuring a 3-drawer frieze, each mounted with their original cast bronze acanthus-shaped handles, and standing on cabriole legs applied with acanthus ormolus and trailing to sabots. This piece is in overall good condition and for sale as is. Circa date 1940. Dimensions 32"high/ 70 ˝”long/ 35 ˝”deep.
