This is a handsome pair of armchairs made from solid walnut by the end of the 19th century. Each with a large arched seatback mounted with a splendid crest centering a shell flanked by acanthus leaves with trellis pattern, standing upon the large seat flanked by elegant padded armrests and supported by nicely scrolled and adorned cabriole legs connected by a X-shaped stretcher. Note that the floral upholstery is in fair condition and might need to be replaced. This pair is for sale as is. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 40”high/ 17”seat height/ 27”wide/ 24”deep.
