This is a very decorative pair of armchairs handcrafted from solid oak by the second half of the 19th century. Note that the painting and the fabric are not original and estimated to be 5-10 years old. Each features an elaborate embellishment from the pierced carved crest centering a floral basket flanked by satyrs upon the padded medallion seatback standing in between a pair of barley twisted columns and some large armrests above the square seat supported by barley twisted legs and stretchers.
