An adorable gilded oval mirror made by the end of the reign of Napoleon III by the second half of the 19th century boasting a very attractive embellishment with a pierced carved cartouche depicting a shell flanked by acanthus and floral patterns upon the original beveled mirror surrounded by tiny beds. Note minor scratches and dark spots here and there on the mirror due to the age but nothing obvious. This piece is for sale as is. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 51”high/ 32”wide.
