This is a very decorative painted bookcase made from solid oak by the middle part of the 18th century during the reign of King Louis XV. This piece is mounted by a flat molded cornice sitting upon the tall and straight façade featuring a pair of paneled doors with chicken wire revealing an efficient storage capacity thanks to the tremendous compartment offering 4 non-adjustable shelves. The pediment consists of a nicely scrolled apron supported by cabriole legs. Hardware is original. This piece is in overall good condition and for sale as is. Circa date 1750.
