This is a simple but pretty set including a desk and a caned chairs, both made from beech wood at the beginning of the 20th century. The painting is not original and estimated to be approx 10 years old. The desk is topped by its original green leather highlighted with gilded border upon the 2-drawer frieze supported by boldly sculpted fluted legs. Note several scratches and ink spots can be seen on the leather. The chair is adored with tied ribbon motifs on the crest and features its original caning, which is in good condition. Fluted legs support it. This set is in overall good condition and for sale as is. Circa date 1900. Dimensions Desk: 30”high/ 33”wide/ 19”deep. Dimensions Chair: 33”high/ 18”seat height/ 16”wide/ 15”deep.
