An elegantly simple desk made from solid cherry by the first quarter of the 20th century and originally coming from Vendee (West Central France) consisting of a thick rectangular top sitting upon a 2-drawer façade; each drawer is mounted with its original brass handles; and supported by cabriole legs. This is an attractive mahogany desk made from mahogany at the beginning of the 20th century. This piece is topped by a greenish vinyl, which is not original and sits upon a 3-drawer façade supported by turned fluted legs on cast bronze sabots. This is a very attractive desk boasting an impressive burl mahogany veneer and made by the middle part of the 20th century. The French commonly calls such desk “Bureau de Milieu” due to the fact that it can be placed in the center of the room. This is a simple but pretty set including a desk and a caned chairs, both made from beech wood at the beginning of the 20th century. The painting is not original and estimated to be approx 10 years old.
